--eggbeater cleats click less than SPD cleats when walking
maybe, depends on how much it is recessed into the shoe sole.
--spds are more durable
I have not broken either (there are a lot of different SPD's)
--eggbeaters will feel more like clip/straps as your foot will have play at the pedal
both types have some float (play)
--spds are bad for your knees
not if adjusted properly and used with good shoes that fit you well.... same goes for eggs
--candy's are just like eggbeaters, except that they have only two sides and funky colors
no, candy's have the same 4 sided mechanism that rotates inside a 2 sided small platform that gives more bearing surface for your foot.
--there is no such thing as a crank brothers pedal with a platform on one side for boots, etc
not sure, maybe the mallett
--time ATACs are just like eggbeaters, but two-sided
haven't used them
