I've never seen more people out riding bikes than I have this summer. People of all ages, too. Lots of young kids, families riding together, hobbyists and experienced commuters. I really feel like there will only be more bikes out on the rode as gas prices continue to climb. The thought of that change really excites me. I hope we can get more bikes and buses out there.

Louisville is rapidly becoming more bike-friendly as well. Several miles of bike lanes have gone up around our downtown area giving us a well defined portion of the road to ride upon. In addition, there are many miles of bike paths and park systems to explore with more being planned.

I don't know how active the bike community is where you live but I'm very happy to see it thriving here.
