rocky rider, the komodo 1.0 is cheeper than the 2.0, but i'd say the 2.0 is the better deal, mainly b/c of the wheelset. sure, all of the components are up on the 2.0 compared to the 1.0, but for the intended use of the bike, i'd definitely want the eyeletted wtb dual-duties, rather than the eyelet-less ones on the 1.0. for the small premium, i'd say you're getting a better deal. that being said, i dont think the spec on the 3.0 is worth the premium it commands over the 2.0.
i know some ppl around me riding komodos, and they all love their bike. that being said, none of them are really using it as the kind of bike that it's been marketed as; they just kinda ride it around, without doing any freeride or "urban" stuff on it. from what i've seen online, most folks looking to do 'urban'/freeride stuff don't dig the komodo's geometry. fwiw, the jamis rep recomends getting a smaller size than you normally would.
