I saw some people modifying MTB into a Hybrid.

Thanks for your help!
The road bike is half way to a hybrid so if you want a bike for the road- Modify the road bike. Then if you still really want to get out and get dirty, mofify the MTB

Mtb needs tyres- rigid forks, better bars for comfort and it will still be a heavy bike for the road.

The road bike will need new bars, brake levers- possibly complete brakes- and new gear changers.

Having just got a road bike to compliment the MTB's- I would go the road bike route.
