While LBS are your godsend when you are out of something that cant be ordered in time(like tubes, tires, advice what ever) I find the "only support your local bike shop" idea flawed. Do you avoid any chain restaurants, fast food, gas stations. Competition drives the marketplace and a company that is willing to offer their customers a great discount and operate on razor thin margins hoping to turn a profit in volume sales should not be penalized for doing so.

$110=22 tubes
$110=4 conti 4000 tires (when ordered from probikekit.com )
$110=new jersey and bib shorts
That is a good savings to me.
