Is that really possible?

http://routeslip.com/map.php?map=7319

That is my fitness route that I have been trying to ride once a week. I haven't quite made the entire route yet, but I think by the end of the sem. I will do it.

RouteSlip says that there is 2640 ft of climbing. How does it calculate this? The total elevation change is aroun 300feet, how can it come up with 2640?

The best I can figure is that it counts every hill as a climb and accumulates the total, but still...that is a lot.
