Is that really possible?

https://routeslip.com/map.php?map=7319

That is my fitness route that I have been trying to ride once a week. I haven't quite made the entire route yet, but I think by the end of the sem. I will do it.

RouteSlip says that there is 2640 ft of climbing. How does it calculate this? The total elevation change is aroun 300feet, how can it come up with 2640?

The best I can figure is that it counts every hill as a climb and accumulates the total, but still...that is a lot.

It looks like there is something a little weird with your elevation profile. There are breaks in the graph, so maybe the numbers are off a bit. You might want to give creating it another shot.

Done:

Now it's a little more reasonable at 993 feet.

Though let me tell you, you feel every foot!

It's not perfect, but it is evolving. The developer is extremely responsive to suggestions, so the site gets more useful every day. Though, the newest features/upgrades have slowed things down a bit, I think it is a reasonable trade off. I'm sure subscriptions aren't far away, but I think it will be worthwhile provided they are pretty cheap.
