big yes on sushi takahashi. I've heard it reffered to as "hipster sushi" but I think more along the lines of "gigantic avocado nigiri for $1 sushi" it has weird hours. I think it's closed in the middle of the day or something. it's on Broadway and West Burnside.

tube, a bar on 3rd and west burnside has a vegan happy hour from 5-10 that is $2 BIG appetizers (think light meals) which are totally awesome, obviously cheap, and before you talk **** about the hipsterism, realize that it's owned by a 29 year old punk community member who rides a bike and doesn't own a car not some fat middle aged suburban dude raking in the bucks for our beers.

the eastbank esplanade is a pretty and really easy ride. great for taking pictures. lots of joggers though. can get kinda crowded on the weekend.
