Is this a Colnago?
Hi, I am a complete newbie to the world of vintage bikes, but this forum convinced me to start my first repair / restoration project... thanks, I think.
I picked up this bike on Ebay as it was advertised as a Colnago and was cheap. I am not disappointed as it is still quite a nice bike, but I am not sure it is genuine.
It was purchased in Melbourne, Australia and has: 60cm lugged steel frame, old Shimano 105 deraileurs and SIS downtube shifters, Biopace cranks, Mavic wheels, Galli Maillard (sp?) hubs, 3TTT cowhorn bars, Weinmann brakes and levers. The Colnago stickers look like they may not be factory, or perhaps they are just old.
Some pics are attached.
Let me know if you know what it is or if there is anything specific I should look for. Any tips or warnings about what I am getting myself into would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
