I went and looked at the 2006 and 2007 Eros today. Only big change is color availability and the wheels (up to Aksiums from ALX something). Price got bumped accordingly.
I might jump on the 06, save money, and buy some of the Campy Vento wheels (140USD at 11speed.com). The bike also screams for a new saddle, seatpost and crankset, but those would come with time.
