It's easier with a 1/8 chain but still, I don't think I could have run that much slack at DLV either.

I buy the cheapest complete bike and ebay the drivetrain and wheels. It is amazing what some folks will pay for a 9 speed Tiagra group/ take off parts. I am doing the same thing with a CX8 cross bike I just bought right now.

i did the same, bought used caad9 w/sora/tiagra for $600. sold the components for $300. ended up with a caad9 frameset with mavix cxp22's (that i love) for $300. after all was said and done i got a custom bike, everything i wanted on it, for ~$1,000.

I ended up with a team soloist and a raleigh team frameset when my bikes broke a week ago, and that only because my shop is awesome and I needed to get back on the road as quickly as possible...
If it weren't for how awesome my shop is, and how fast they got me going again, I absolutely had my mind set on a caad9/10.

Also, the new black-on-black caad10 is OMFG hot.

-SRAM Force fd,rd,brifters,cranks,bb
-Shimano ultegra 14-25 cassette(junior)
-Dura-ace chainrings
-Tioga Spyder saddle
I built those wheels with the help from a mechanic at the LBS(they love me there). And i'm getting a new seatpost, handlebars, and stem.

Can anyone tell me the type of calipers i have?

I would too. It is beautiful and had gotta ride like a dream. If your son was Emmit Smith you'd be boasting about him all day everywhere also. Lets just hope the bike sees as many miles as it does websites/posts.

Not sure about that bar tape. Personally I think you should try to find a red that is as close to the hood color as possible.

Sweet bike tho.
