Having some slack in the chain saves a sizeable amount of watts, IIRC.

Thanks Cleve, I'm lucky that I'm flexible. The bike I raced prior to the Tarmac was a Roubaix Expert with all the shims removed still had the bar height about 1.5 inches higher.
