Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non addictive, gender neutral celebration of the festive season, practiced with the most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.
I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally
accepted calendar year 2011, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our country great (not to imply that USA is necessarily greater than any other country) and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.
By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms:
This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her /him or others and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.

Yesterday was the first day of sun after 5 days of rain. I was so happy to be able to ride. Other roadies I passed were also happy and we gave each other extra-enthusiastic waves. It was comical and obvious why the enthusiasm.

I just got back from picking up my MIL for a few day's visit. We chatted non-stop. She's a wonderful woman and I'm fortunate to have her as family. Her husband died a year ago today. She's doing quite well.
I'll take a short ride later this afternoon since it's so nice out. Cold, and windy, but clear.
I called USAC, they're on vacation until January 3rd. So I wait.
I'd like to thank everyone here for helping me figure out what I wanted to do after getting back on the bike. It was such a long layoff. I never knew how much I missed it until now. I am thankful for the good people here, and I hope to meet some of you face to face next season.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays to all of you.

My sister makes her own every Christmas and that includes making the dough and frying the shells. Almost makes me wish I was in East Central Illinois right now. I cannot get a decent one where I live and for training purposes that is probably a plus.
And Merry Christmas to all, including Grumpy. It may still be OK with him because I'm an atheist so the greeting from me has no religious connotation unless you consider secular humanism a religion.

Keeping the 33 crashing alive, was enjoying a beautiful day in PA, going downhill, hit a rock then lights out. Woke to my buddy standing over me asking if I was OK. A nice couple drove me to a place where my wife could meet me and take me to the ER. Concussion, sprained wrist and lots O' road rash. Helmet prevented a much worse outcome. I am thankful it wasn't worse and the ER staff had me out in no time. Bike isn't too bad either!
Merry Christmas to those 33ers who celebrate it and Happy Holidays to everyone. Hope 2011 is a great year for us all.
