I'm officially waiving the no-waving rule until January 2.

Yesterday was the first day of sun after 5 days of rain. I was so happy to be able to ride. Other roadies I passed were also happy and we gave each other extra-enthusiastic waves. It was comical and obvious why the enthusiasm.

I called USAC, they're on vacation until January 3rd. So I wait.

I'd like to thank everyone here for helping me figure out what I wanted to do after getting back on the bike. It was such a long layoff. I never knew how much I missed it until now. I am thankful for the good people here, and I hope to meet some of you face to face next season.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays to all of you.
I was also off the bike for a long time ... we probably raced together back in the day. I got back into it about 4 years ago and it was definately a good move. I'm old & slow now, but it's still fun.

Happy Holidays to all ........

And Merry Christmas to all, including Grumpy. It may still be OK with him because I'm an atheist so the greeting from me has no religious connotation unless you consider secular humanism a religion.

Keeping the 33 crashing alive, was enjoying a beautiful day in PA, going downhill, hit a rock then lights out. Woke to my buddy standing over me asking if I was OK. A nice couple drove me to a place where my wife could meet me and take me to the ER. Concussion, sprained wrist and lots O' road rash. Helmet prevented a much worse outcome. I am thankful it wasn't worse and the ER staff had me out in no time. Bike isn't too bad either!

Merry Christmas to those 33ers who celebrate it and Happy Holidays to everyone. Hope 2011 is a great year for us all.

I've had a couple of concussions, be careful, take things slow. Glad you're ok, outside of that. And the sprained wrist. And the road rash.
