Just spent some time on the real Twitter where I was informed about the new Garmin Cervelo kit. One question - where'd the signature argyle go!? Oh right, a concession to Cervelo for joining forces. That was a huge concession though!
Anyway, here was my twitter for the day: I love my Macy's shacket!

Just watched "The Devil Came on Horseback". Very, very depressing movie. So much wrong and nobody will do anything about it. It's about Darfur, by the way.
Just about to start my third movie for the day. This is what happens when I have a Monday off. No sports on TV, so I watch movies all day. I think it's time for a comedy now. Too much nuclear war, North Korea, Darfur stuff that I've been watching.

Jan 3, and I'm just now putting my 2011 registration tag on my car. I forgot about it until the other day while driving back from a ride when police lights flashing behind me made me think, "What did I do?" No, the lights weren't for me, but that's when I remembered the tags. Still took 2 more days to get around to it.

How is your office cold? With all that hot air you would think that everything would be warm.

Books tell a story in a way a movie never could. There's an art to both forms, but saying they take longer to tell a story is poppycock. You can't reduce a book to that.
Edit: I never said anything about art at all. I was just commenting on your lament that all you did all day was watch movies.

I had already left for the gym this morning when my wife got a knock on our door - about 6am. A couple of police officers were standing there and there were several cars on the road.
She said her heart sank. Why else would several city police be there, she thought, except to tell her there had been an accident ...
Well come to find out there were several car break ins around our neighborhood and they were going door to door all morning.

I used to think reading books would make me a better person. Delivering meals on wheels made realize what a POS I really am.
edit - and I can live with that.

Sigh...
Refraining...
----
In other news, I finally got an apt for the sports PT place for my back. Hoping they can help sort the knee out as well. Maybe I'll be physically able to ride a bike AND be able to walk the next day. Yeah right...

I delivered meals during the holidays.
Mainly for holiday parties. So I don't think it's the same, right?

That's a real bummer. I forget the Canadian pro who won the overall... Hugh Walton. I didn't forget. He slayed all. That's the year the Junior crashed on the backstretch of New Britain, compound fracture, you could hear him at the S/F line. They made the course counterclockwise after that. And took the rocks out that lined the hill.
I won't think good things of that company anymore.

Silver linings:
Imagine the therapy session where the wife says
"I realized in that moment that what I felt was relief; thinking he was dead. I wanted him to be dead so I could be a widow and not a divorcee."

In some cases more so...The Godfather part 2 is a beautiful movie...although its a tough read considering it was never a book. I'd argue that Blade Runner is a better movie than the book it's based on (Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep). Documentaries are another form of film making that actually are better than the written word. Seeing people actually suffering rather than just reading the words has far more impact...but I'm sure some would disagree.

head wrench at my shop just teased me until I caved and bought carbon cages...
then again, $20 for a pair of Arundel Dave-O cages is a pretty good deal i guess.

reasons to be good to your LBS - because it has always been personally and financially in my favor to be nice to the wrenches.
I remember beer for the boys, and vegan gift certs to the head wrench who is hardcore, and I don't know, but I know I get treatment & deals even my teamates don't hear about.
I certainly wasn't expecting all the kindness/hookups, but beyond becoming friends, they've decided that being friends is cool too.
