The whole game came down to that GB interception of Rothsb. that was returned for that TD. And that Pittsburgh fumble on that late game drive. If the game is a one score victory (anything less than 7-8 points), it's always the turnovers. Always. If there's a flag on a punt or a kickoff it's always holding or illegal block in the back on the receiving team. And if they hire a massive bimbo to sing the national anthem, she'll always butcher the lyrics.

That being said, I figured the half time show would be Utter Fail, and so it was.

Watching Fergie rubbing up on Slash like she was a cat in heat was pretty disappointing since GnR was a really good band during their day and seeing one of their songs turned into some pop rubbish made me sad.

But Jorge. It was Guns n Roses, not the Beatles. GNR was also pop rubbish. Better pop rubbish than BEP, but pop rubbish nonetheless. At least GNR rocked.

I just particularly love that guitar riff from Sweet Child of Mine. Killer riff.

GnR weren't manufactured pop music, they just happened to get famous with their sound.

Just finished watching the SuperBowl on DVR. This is the 4th year in a row of watching it that way and it's the only way to go. You can FF past all the rubbish & then watch the game & any commercial that looks like is has the potential to be funny. It must have been strange for our neighbors hearing all the yelling from our house when the game has been over for 2 hours. They must think we really like that "Glee" crap

I've been a Packer fan for over 20 years now (kind of strange for a SoCal boy). They had a very tough road this year with all the injuries they had. I'm glad they got the rings this year. I'm also excited for next year. They'll have a good shot at a repeat when they're back to full strength. Go Pack Go!

Well, we watched it as a family. None of us are into football, but treated it just as an occasion to have a mini "event" at home and make the evening a bit different than most Sunday evenings. It works on that level, and if kids at school talk about the game the next day, at least my kids won't feel as though they missed something.

So if the kids at school start talking about doing drugs and drinking, will you turn that into a family event too so they can talk about it the next day and not feel like they missed something?

/End obnoxious sass.

The nice thing about the super bowl party I attended was that most of the guys weren't die hard fans so most of it was spent chatting about other things, the most interesting part was a discussion on the situation in Egypt with an Egyptian who was getting his info from family members over there. The other fun part was talking about the Chelsea v Liverpool match which gave me the chance to mock Liverpool and how much Chelsea paid for the Spanish glass man.

Sure .... I want them to learn things from us, not strangers. So my wife will get them some hits of acid just like in the old days, and I'll get the rolling papers and coke spoons...we'll roll some joints, lay out a few lines of coke on the coffee table ..... "Hey kids ... try this ..."

Or you could just do a 'college visit' to a local institution that shall remain nameless on the days of 4/20, duke day, or zonker harris day.

Boss had a horrible weekend. His mom said she didn't know if he was going to even pull through.
Still in ICU. Doctors don't even know what's wrong with him.

Time to send him someplace else, I suspect.

I crashed a few parties there a while back.
Made better use of the rink for speed skating when no one was looking.
