Joan just came back from her ride (Barton Creek/Bee Caves/360) and said it was nicer than it looked.

that's a great picture lith. Seems like she's in good spirits. I also love the file name "bionicjen".
There have been a TON of advancements in the last decade with regards to amputees and different sports and such. I was watching the Kona Ironman the other day (I know, sorry) and there was a double amputee there. He swam just fine (legs aren't really used in triathlon swims), had some special things that connected him to the bike, and then had those little blade spring running things for the marathon.
I wish you both the best of luck. There's more important things than legs, like life.

there is a guy that races road and cross in my district that has a prosthetic leg so we are well aware that everything will be normal once she recovers. its pretty cool knowing that my racing has actually made this thing easier to deal with.

Hmmm? The person who complains about food photos in bicycle forums posts food photos in a bicycle forum. How could that be?
Pot calling the kettle black
The phrase "The pot calling the kettle black" is an idiom used to accuse a person or thing of being marked with or guilty of the very thing they are pointing out. This may or may not be hypocritical or contradictory.

Someone's getting pretty pissed off at the bickering. And he came here to chew gum and kick ass, and he's all out of gum.
