If it needs more stability, drill two holes in a board the same distance apart, drop the machine screws through there, nut them in, set the tips in your new hub holes, and use the board as a wrench.

I'm also pretty sure a simple pipe wrench would get it loose w/out hurting anything other than some minor gouges in the plastic.
I think they're sending me a new cover... so that I'll use these suggestions to get the current one off. Do either of you have pictures of the electronics' placement? so that I won't destroy them in the process.

When I had my surgery for my collarbone, I told them at the surgery center that I had a very low RHR. After the procedure, they said it's a good thing I told them because my HR hit 30, and if they hadn't known they would have freaked out.

What WR said is probably a better idea. It came to mind to me as I was just cutting the grass. Only I would do it similar to the way you get a stuck oil filter off. Drill two holes and thin insert a screwdriver through both and use it to twist off the cover.

I'll look for another shot.

OK two hols through the side.... pretty close, so a driver can go straight through them both, yes? looks like the battery stuff is pretty well hidden, so I shouldn't have to worry about that much.

Oh wow. I hope it's just the docs not realizing you have a low resting heart rate.

That's what I would do. But I've been known to do stupid stuff before. drill carefully and slowly.

Are you sure that's a powertap hub and not a light saber?

teammate had same issue in hospital. They wouldnt set HR alarm low enough. Kept going off. You'd think they would learn.

Yeah. I think that as well. Though supposedly the collapsed lung and ultra low heart rate was a bad combo. Dunno. I just know they can't operate until my lung reinflates. When I left the hospital I wasn't really aware that my lung wasn't all the way back. Really looking forward to moving on. I'm ready put me in coach. No? Ok but until them I'm playing DS.

About to head out to a local TT event. Looks like a 12 mph tailwind for the entire thing (point to point).
