Levi could always start riding like Di Luca, it'd be more exciting at first but he wouldn't have a chance to win the race in the end.

what's with these embarrassing after race lance/levi videos? starts it off saying RIP to some nice guy who died, then they are rambling like fools or not saying much at all, and then in the end they make a "getting it up" joke? wth.. why does lance want me to watch this..

Thanks. That's neat stuff. On this pre-race meeting Johan pretty much predicts that Di Luca was gonna take the stage @ 2:40.

The problem is that these heroes of yours failed doping tests. A technicality to somebody who's oblivious, but still.

terrible news about Horner... I really had dreams he might take a stage in the Giro.

agreed. LL is dull. some of it for me is because he's nearly robotic on the bike. After watching yesterday, I'm skeptical of his chances for a W in this giro. In fact, I'm thinking his missing the podium is not out of the question (and I thought he was a favorite for the W last week). He looks to be laboring going uphill and no horner isnt going to help his cause (according to other BF posts I assume to be factual) while the rest of astana is hanging out otb with "the patron".

I always underestimate Di Luca. No more. He's ridden dominantly this race. I hope he wins, he's riding to win, not riding to preserve his chance of winning, and it makes for damn good race finishes. Rock on killer!

Anyone but Basso for me.

It's a shame he's out. I like Chris and was hoping he'd get a stage win.

He's riding to crash and burn in the third week. If he can maintain this form, then it will be an amply deserved win, and very impressive. I would not be surprised if he faded off the top step. But we'll see. In any case, DiLuca is riding to give himself the best possible chance of winning. So is LL. They are riders with very different characteristics, and if LL tried to ride like DiLuca, he would lose. He's a diesel engine, and needs to ride accordingly.

Leipheimer has no descending skills compared to guys like Armstrong or DiLuca. He got pwned on that descent yesterday. That does not bode well for his chances in that 60km TT. In fact nobody's using TT bikes, they're all using regular road bikes with clip ons.

Levi made the mistake of being on Basso's wheel when the descent started.

And you're wrong, pcad. https://www.cyclingnews.com/tech/2009...o_slice_giro09 is using a TT bike.
