Good for Bradley! Best time, worst hair.

NomadVW 05-21-09 08:12 AM

Basso's slower at the first checkpoint on www.gazzetta.it

Sastre 2 seconds faster.

bdcheung 05-21-09 08:13 AM

Basso is only ninth at the first time check. Sastre's TT bike is paying off - he's sixth at that time check, two seconds faster than Armstrong

bdcheung 05-21-09 08:13 AM

Leipheimer 1" slower than the fastest at the first time check

Thanks. This would be due to the length of today's time trial or is this a pretty standard on all TT's? Sorry I never pay much attention to TT's.

bdcheung 05-21-09 08:15 AM

It's standard for TT's. Keeps you from going too hard too fast.

bdcheung 05-21-09 08:16 AM

Brajkovic?!

bdcheung 05-21-09 08:16 AM

BRAJKOVIC!!!!!!!!!!

unreal

SaddleBags 05-21-09 08:17 AM

That kid's a climber!

NomadVW 05-21-09 08:20 AM

Starting to really see major time gaps in top 10 finishers now.

bdcheung 05-21-09 08:20 AM

Armstrong 1'12" off the fastest at the 3rd check

NomadVW 05-21-09 08:20 AM

Menchov... c'mon man... DO IT

bdcheung 05-21-09 08:21 AM

the looks on the riders' faces as they cross the line are priceless.

acortez 05-21-09 08:21 AM

Levi is going good, it should be interesting what the time gap is at the next check pt.

bdcheung 05-21-09 08:21 AM

Lance needs to descend like a bat out of hell

NomadVW 05-21-09 08:25 AM

Just tell your boss it's a grand tour. He should understand. :thumb:

bdcheung 05-21-09 08:29 AM

Levi is being too cautious on the descent, IMO

It's the Giro. There are rules for the Italians and rules for everyone else.......

Leipheimer feeding during the TT? Thoughts?

TheKillerPenguin 05-21-09 08:34 AM

Leipheimmer is ****in flexible. If the whole cycling thing doesn't work out for him, he could be a russian gymnast.

I saw Lance feed also. Only a water bottle and possible a gel.

bdcheung 05-21-09 08:37 AM

Rogers is not doing well at all

Plus a lot of the female Russian gymnasts are built like his mom.
