Cod-swallop. We could knacker ourselves coming up with one liners. I'm gonna sack myself from this subject, even though I am having a ball.

Okay you two take it offline...now I missed the race cause I was actually riding my bike. Reading the results it looks like Levi struggled but managed to minimize his losses. No change to GC. How did Basso look?

I back in from a movie with the spousal unit in time to see the last 10 minutes. I knew you wouldn't let me down with the Cervelo post

However, that ain't Mt. Doom they were finishing on

Mt. Doom is like a scale model version of that stupid finishing climb today. 1.3 km instead of 2.1 km, 400 vertical feet instead of the 800 vertical feet or whatever that was today. Similar 16% grades.

That climb wasn't long, just steep and at the end of a stage.

Are we talking Neil Armstrong here? He was associated with high technology in his day.

Yea, I caught it right when the solo break was turning into the finishing climb. All I have here is short but steep for climbs. I usually look like the poor bastage who was wobbling sideways to cut the grade if I don't hit them regularly.

I miss real climbing in a weird S&M kind of way.

The Cervelo dude looked awfully fluid on the steep section, the guy trying to get his wheel started going sideways a bit on the 16% part. I attribute this entirely to the markedly superior Cervelo S2 bicycle technology at Gerrand's disposal.

just watched the final km of today's stage...

it really sucks to see how bad Levi is at acceleration.

it's true. he's not as punchy as DiLuca, or even Contador or Lance.

Just picking up on that? First time watcher long time poster? This why I don't see him winning this thing. He attacks like Ulrich. Slowly.
