That's the plan. Either jaxgtr or I will.

USAZorro 05-27-09 07:24 AM

I'm going with Garzelli again. I think that coming into a climb fresh, he's got the best climbing legs in this peloton.

botto 05-27-09 07:50 AM

reports of rain at the top of blockhaus.

Seems LPR is once again deluded into thinking DiLuca can win the stage. Hammering at the front yet again.

You shall see. He will finish close to the front, but will not win. They are desperate to get him a 20 second time bonus.

So where does the deluded part come into play.

Thinking that if they pull the break in, their guy will finish first and get the 20 second bonus. They'll do just as well to let Rabobank pull the load. No way Di Luca finishes better than 3rd today.

i'm quoting this just in case you decide to change your mind later :)

Ya, clearly delusional to think that a multi-mountaintop stage winner in the Giro could win today. Especially is he's on your team.

SushiJoe 05-27-09 08:18 AM

Narrow roads...

Well whether if he succeeds or not it is still probably his best tactic.

I honestly think he is going to go for the stage win, but not just looking for bonus seconds, he is going to look into putting major time into Menchov.

Go ahead. Barring a late mechanical, no way he beats Sastre or Menchov to the line.

Di Luca races to win. That's why he's the Killer. He treats these stages as though they were one day races, instead of the ho hum bore of the typical stage racer.

He's my new favorite racer, and if he's not yours (and by yours I dont mean zorro, I mean everyone), the only question you should be asking yourself is "why not?". He's Jens Voigt with italian passion, he's Paulo Bettini with climbing legs, he has the scowl of armstrong, and the kick of valverde, yes, he's the Killer.
