They're averaging 36.7 km/h right now, going uphill! I cannot even sustain that on flat ground! :-o

Yeah but it doesn't seem like he's going completely "all out" in the Giro...but who knows.

Sidenote...from the VeloNews Race minutes:
"Wonder what Sastre and Armstrong said to each other. Kind of hard have the wind to chat now, but when Sastre was asked about some comment that Armstrong allegedly made about Sastre winning the Tour last year, Sastre said, "I don't give a damn what Armstrong says." He said it in Italian and all the Italian journalists laughed and said, 'Bravo, Carlos!' "

What did LA say about Sastre in last year's Tour?

USAZorro 05-27-09 09:24 AM

Sastre doesn't look like he has it today. :(

botto 05-27-09 09:26 AM

you've only just noticed this?

Dubbayoo 05-27-09 09:26 AM

What group is Levi in? That snowman was the best roadside character since the red devil. I can't get the volume up on the Universal web feed.

He looked like he 'didn't really have it' for most of the stage he won, so I think it was a fair assessment...

Grumpy McTrumpy 05-27-09 09:30 AM

must be the mullet.

botto 05-27-09 09:31 AM

bdcheung 05-27-09 09:32 AM

Menchov looks too comfortable.

Dubbayoo 05-27-09 09:32 AM

Will Baron Von Menchov ditch Diluca for the sprint?

substructure 05-27-09 09:33 AM

I look like Menchov when I'm suffering. Sort of a deadpan stare.
If he really is suffering. He looks comfortable in Killa's draft.

Magic 8 Ball says yes..

Prodigy4299 05-27-09 09:33 AM

I am amazed at Menchov's cool. He looks like he's easily keeping up.

Ouch. That'll leave a mark.

Wow that stings. Look at my post just after....My guess that the part of SoCal you live in is Fontucky?

USAZorro 05-27-09 09:41 AM

I was wrong about Menchov and Sastre beating Di Luca, but he was 3rd. My pick to win finished 2nd.

Guess my dislike for Di Luca is showing. Talented rider, but he's so arrogant and takes himself so seriously.
