I had a guy on our 3's team when I was on it that was a cat 1 on the track. Needless to say if the race came down to a sprint, I lead him out. Most races come down to sprints and there were a number where I felt like I could have had a chance to win, but had to work for him.

There are guys certainly waaaay worse than him in a pack out there too.
Which was the point of my original post...the guy wins 80% of his races the rest he's always top ten...he's made his point in the 4's.

It's not hugely pressing but they only happen once a month and this is my first one - ya'll have fun without me. Next time though.

I gotta say that I was very tempted to race in it tonight just to say that I had -- you know, just happy to be there kind of thing -- but, I'm keeping my focus on Saturday...I'll be there watching tonight...

So tonight he wins the 3/4 and wins the 4/5 and finishes 5th in the 35+ Masters. I guess your point is validated.
Of course I sure like him on my team and you did fail to mention the firepower you guys brought out tonight, I mean come on, it looked like a Pro team out there tonight. Where did you guys park the team bus?

By the way El Diablo, it was fun racing with you and your team was fantastic to chase around tonight.

Sure I did, hey fire power or not the final break had two of our guys and two of yours. Just that our two guys were better sprinters . Waterrockets was 100m clear at the end and it looked like Jonathan just pipped Benz for second but was too close to be sure.

Yeah that was a really fun race too bad Rav wussied out

Bikes: yes please

"that guy" was only a 4 for like a month; upgraded, and now he's a 3 with at least 10 points. It happens pretty fast: "that guy" or "those guys" start disappearing to the higher cats and I need to figure out who "that guy" is all over again...I need to race more, then I wouldn't be in such a pickle.

Late June and July, I want to be "that guy"--I'm getting there, slowly.

Here in BC if you have the points you are upgraded, you don't have a choice. Is it different in Texas?

Expand on "squirrely" please. Is that a good or bad thing to acquire as a weapon against others in a race? A deliberate tactic to disturb and distract those around him?
