No kidding. The whole "Prius is actually worse for the environment" myth has been debunked so many times, even on these boards, that continuing to see it trotted out as 'fact' makes me pretty sad.
Of course, it all depends upon what your standard of "bad for the environment," is, too. It's really hard (read: impossible) to design a test for environmental damage that isn't subjective in one way or another.
