BTW, it sorted of looked like Levi 'clawed his way back into the lead group' by faking a saddle issue while the team car towed him there until the ref said no mas.

This is how I saw it. Lance is thinking, "Oh crap, oh crap. This is tough. Please no one attack. Please." Contador takes off. Lance can't chase him down, right? So then Lance is thinking, "Please someone else chase him down. Please."
