That was an unexpected and seriously STFU display of strength on the final Col by Armstrong today to regain the Yellow Jersey group.

Lance haters/doubters, please note.

I'm watching video for the first time right now. He closed 35 seconds in 2K seriously?

Let's have a show of hands....

Who secretly wanted him to get to the chase group and just keep hammering on by?

I'm in.

-----------------------------------

Look, hate the guy or not, believe the guy or not, that was an impressive bit of bike riding and great sports theater.

That was a really, really strong move. He hit that yellow jersey group like a tranquilizer dart. They just about shut down completely when he got there.

"You feel lucky, punk?"

"Well, do ya?"

did one of those commentators at about 63km left say anaerobic work something you can sustain for a long period of time, and aerobic work where you put yourself in oxygen debt?

I faceplanted pretty hard a couple of months ago. Hit the asphalt with my chin and bounced about a foot in the air. I tried to put pressure on my chin, and my chin-skin wasn't there. Made it home under my own power, looked in the mirror, saw I was bleeding out of my ear...

...but I didn't break my collarbone.

Epilogue: morphine is highly over-rated.

His press conference performance was considerably more pathetic than his riding, and that's saying something right there, considering he's wearing #1.

My epic fail was being convinced that Cadel was the real deal this time. Only now do I see he is just the current recipient of the Trofeo de Iban Mayo, otherwise known as "I peaked too ******** soon".

It's all a matter of quantity. When the nurse really gets frisky with the plunger it can be a hell of a drug.
