My new favorite waltz:

I find the main motif of the melody (starting at 0:08s) to be quite pleasant. I will practice it and be able to play it shortly.

I have been playing a lot of Neil Young lately. Mostly I have been spinning his latest "A Letter Home" as well as "Everyone Knows This Is Nowhere". In the middle of that I have been a passenger in a car for lots of hours and listened to Dylan's "Chronicles, Volume One" read by Sean Penn. A lot of that drive time was going back and forth to Tallahassee to see Lucinda Williams. Good stuff!

The remainder of the Dylan book on CD was heard driving back and forth to Jacksonville to see the USA/Nigeria "friendly" last weekend.

I have been digging quite deep into the vinyl vault recently and just listened to Donovan's "Hurdy Gurdy Man". The session players' work sounded familiar, so I started Google-ing. Interesting!

Anyone else have Regina Spektor's "You've Got Time" stuck in their brain? Pretty good earworm for intervals. Yeah, I've got fing time. 17 fing more minutes.

I have spun Jorma Kaukonen's "Quah" a few times recently from my vinyl vault. It is very good and has stood up to a long test of time. Who would have known that someone associated with Jefferson Airplane could be that good?

I am a pop music guy. My latest love is Iggy. Black Widow is great trainer music.

I like Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk. Bruno looked a little "strange" on the Voice sporting gold rollers in his hair but the performance was great.

I bought the remixed Led Zep IV disk. "When the Levee Breaks" is really awesome.

And historically if that levee doesn't break do we get the spreading of the Mississippi cradle of the blues to Memphis and Chicago?

Wow this is pretty cool, reminiscent of Weather Report.

I gotta say, as a piano/keyboard player, the solo in this piece blew me away (4:20 - 8:30 or so). He started off pretty mellow with some thick chords and cool modes, but started rippin' pretty hard later on, with tones and style like Joe Zawinul, Weather Report's founder and keyboardist.

Great stuff in that vid, lots of energy. I thought the beginning had a cool groove and was mildly interesting, but as soon as that guy started his keys solo, I was captivated.
