Dang, I have that on vinyl and will have to dig it out along with Headhunters. I don't think that I have played either one in 15 or more years. They used to be in my heavy rotation.

I have been listening to more fusion in the past year or two than anything else really. Headhunters, Return to Forever, Weather Report, Mahavishnu orchestra, John Scofield, Medeski Martin and Wood, and of course Miles...

It did startle a few.

When I go home tonight I'll have to dig this one out and give it a spin for my 18 year old son as part of his musical education.

I took him to see Pat Metheny last night in all his orchestrion splendor and he was totally blown away. So was I. It was an amazing show.

I hated HS. I was "grunge" in 1971 down to the unkempt hair, flannel shirts, et al. I was so eager to get out of that place that I applied to colleges for admission before I actually graduated and got the "F" out at the first opportunity.

Was whistling the chorus from this in the pack yesterday.

I highly doubt anyone knew wtf it was... but they knew I was there at least.

In 1970 I was 15/16 years old and listening to Miles, the Dead, and Zappa. I was still listening to the Yardbirds, Jimi, The Who, and Cream. Led Zep was mildly entertaining. Black Sabbath was crap.
