It was a very serious injury, the guy was in critical condition for days apparently.
Edit: It wasn't my teammate that was injured, although he was involved in the crash.

Our team, along with UCSF, has been sued a few times from participants in our team's yearly race. The suits haven't been successful but I wonder what kind of protection Chris offers promoters if they hold the event under CBR instead of UCSF?

I like the CBR races. I'm in for October and December. Chris is a funny dude and his safety talks for the CAT5s crack me up. The best line is "I don't care if you're an astronaut or a ditch digger, out here you're the lowest rung on the totem pole - a CAT5". I think the CBR course, while simple, is fun and pretty tough to crash on barring unforseen circumstances.
