Toothache & Painkillers = not exactly a good combo for training. Been in pain since Wednesday. Unfortunately my dentist is out until Monday. Wednesday it wasnt that bad and I was able to get about 3 hours. Yesterday I tried and had to quit after about one hour and today I'm just happy for all those meds that can provide temporary and partial pain relief. The pain is getting worse and pain killers are not really helping much anymore so I may ask my teenage kid to get me some ganja and smoke it tonight so I finally can get some sleep. Usually I'm totally against all drugs but today I can see why medical Marijuana is needed for some people in serious pain. I never suffered so much during any cycling training/interval

In NY visiting family. Ate like a pig these las two days but holding steady at about 145lbs.

Ran 10.x miles this morning, and hope to get to the local gym to use their spin bikes.

Yeah, that is a concern of mine on sunny days in the mid 70's. Back on topic, I lost .3 w/kg today.

Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cookies, and pie yesterday. Homemade cinnamon rolls, bacon, and eggs this morning. Prime rib, potatoes, and cake tonight. I cut my ride short yesterday and didn't ride today. Yup.

Instead of putting in an LSD ride in the drizzle, I walked the in-laws dog for an hour.

This kind of mediocrity has been a consistent theme for December.

I'll ask her.

It was creamier, had a little bit more texture to it because of the nuts, but my friend and I LOVED it.
I owe her some indian dessert that my mom sent up with my little sister because she's been itching to try some of it!

It's raining, 39 F, wind is howling, 17 hours on the bike so far this week and I'm tired, and the team ride leaves in 35 minutes. Pretty safe to say that no matter what I do it will be a failure.

sounds awesome. I used to love getting crepes w/ banana&nutella when I was in Paris; I'd get one and spend the rest of the day walking everywhere.

Dressed and showed up for team ride. Rain turned to snow flurries. Was hoping nobody else would show up. 9:30 rolled around and I'm the only one there. Team mate showed up at 9:32. Another one about 2 minutes later.

Decided to be prudent and turned my ride into a one hour recovery ride.

Too many chores, three trips coming up in the next 12 weeks, and one of them could be over a month. Motivation is low, because I feel like my racing season is being disassembled.

I rolled out at 29*..got home it was 37*.

My workout was:
30m warm up
60m SST
30m low tempo
30m at FTP
15m recover
30m FTP
15m recover
60m at high tempo with the last 30m mixed with some hard efforts on the hills.

I failed. After the last 30m FTP effort I my legs just hurt. I'm going to blame it on my inconsistent training in December but it could have been the cold..my feet are still numb as is my nose.

2671 kj
247 TSS.

That TSS should have been over 300 and my kj should have been over 3000.

Are we supposed to feel bad for you ? Some of us are lucky to be riding at all, let alone following some sort of plan.

Does fudge have calories if it's just the stuff scraped from around the edges of the container ? (Not an actual "piece" of fudge)
