I make it a rule to reciprocate sleepy time annoyances. If the neighbors are out of town, and the college kid who lives there has a late party, I get up at 6am, pull out the compound miter saw, and make about 15 gallons of sawdust, next to the fence we share. Dry-firing the framing nailer is fun too, if I feel like digging out the hoses to reach over there.

I'm not offended. History indicates that trouble follows pictures like that and it has been proven that this thread and forum are best kept without drama following it. I'm not a moderator so I don't need to be even handed. When someone posts in the twitter thread with so few posts it's usually a timmyquest sock puppet so until proven otherwise it's simpler to just assume that.

I bet shorts needed changing after that.

PT found a rib out of place and about a dozen knots on my right side. My scapula apparently doesn't like the rib where it is so that's the cause of my grief.

CDR, can you recommend a good walk behind mower with a wide deck? 30-42 inch range? I've heard bad things about Airens lately.

I'm going to remember this quote.

The only neighbor I had any noise related beef with recently moved out. Mark my words, that kid is going to end up in jail for a string of stupid crimes. Pedophilia, drugs, vandalism, theft...the entire block is sure that it's all in his future (if not his present).

Most of my neighbors wake up before I do so I am more than likely on the receiving end of the nail gun, hedge trimmer, miter saw noise issue. The other day my neighbor was pressure washing his fence and decided to do mine while he had the equipment out. Who am I to complain about noise?

Get an old Lawnboy with the F-series engine and alloy deck. Indestructible and rebuildable. Not very "green" with the 2-stroke engine in spite of the color, though.

I can assure you that it's not a TQ sock. Tim has been extremely busy. He's been turning great results - right on the edge of being a 2 for a while now. 3's are starting to accuse him of being a sandbagger but his points keep hitting 12 months and expiring just in time. The upgrade official here hasn't been throwing him any slack. He doesn't need the slack but anyway.

If he were on BF right now I'd be asking him to get around to editing the photos for the ad that I took this weekend with all his high end camera gear instead of hanging here.

it's simpler to assume it's a TQ sock puppet than to read about TQ.

gsteinb- Nope, it's just been a tough last few months and this thread is a great way to get things off my chest. When it comes to the pic I purposely chose one that showed as little as possible but was a cute nerd. Heck, my pic showed less then the others posted! I do remember timmyquest and his other names, mostly when I was just lurking.

big john- Thanks for that info, I am not much of a car fixing guy.

My 13 year old 50" Gravely is still going strong. Just needs gas every now & then.

Technician. We have mechanics working here but they don't deal with configuration plausibility errors and programming. I still hate cars.

My wife cracks me up: There's an outside chance I'll be going to the White House to demo my current Android project. She said I'm like Forest Gump, because I've never even been to DC. On my first trip, it's on invitation to the White House.

I don't know much about the market, and only a little more about what we carry (Ariens, Snapper, some misc brands). Ariens now has two distinct product DNA lines - one is their domestic stuff and it's still good. One is their overseas stuff and... well, you heard about them. Focus on domestic stuff and you'll be okay.

There are some engine changes about to show up due to new laws, not sure who's ahead of the game there.

Snapper is Briggs is some other brands. I trust Briggs.

Both Ariens and Snapper have the most asinine websites ever (for dealers). I'm sure they're featured in "how not to do a website" articles, over and over and over and over. Lots of great examples of what not to do.

Echo is my favorite company. Products, website, service. Excellent products, excellent site, excellent service. Interestingly enough they're distributed, i.e. they sell through distributors. Ariens and Snapper sell direct (although there are warehouses). Sales can be very pushy, kind of like how Trek or Specialized is nowadays.

My son crashing on my neck at the pool probably did the trick on the neck, but I think the MC crash of '08 set the ribs in motion and it was aggravated by the neck impact. The plan is to try to get the rib back where it belongs and work on neck flexion. He said a longer stem might be on order to keep from hunching, but also stay off the bike for now.

So what's the recumbent racing scene like? Hehe.
