The newest is both her and my wife have bought into the Tom's shoes "one for one" thing. I don't mind but I can't help thinking some needy kid getting the snot beat out of him/her for wearing a pair of these.

Do you think you shouldn't be there for some reason ? Everyone else is just another racer who upgraded at some point.

Tom's shoes are hipster shoes, so basically they are worn by kids who would get beaten up if they were still in grade school.
Oh and the kids who do get those on the other end will likely get beaten up.

Earl Osborne, a fixture in the NYC bicycle racing community, has passed away.
I rode and raced with Earl many times. He imparted upon me the most profound cycling wisdom ever when I told him I thought racing was hard. His response, which I will never forget, was:
'Racing is fun. TRAINING is hard.'
He was a character, and he was always fun to be around. RIP Earl.

I've raced a bunch and can be as dumb as an ox sometimes.

Took my car to PepBoys a few weeks ago as they had a free A/C diagnosis going and my A/C was out. They told me I had to have a different one, so I did it and paid (the old bait and switch). They said I needed a recharge, so I did that and my A/C was great for about 10 days. Now it's out again and I think it is leaking (based on my garage floor stain)...they test they did was a leak test and charged me for some leak fix stuff and the recharge. It's on like donkey kong when I go back this weekend!

gsteinb-Nope, no aliases and I was just following the lead of others. I can take it down if it offends you, but I do wonder why you did not give this warning to the other people who posted pics.
homebrew01- Thanks for the link. I am going to go back to PepBoys and make them pay to have my car fixed properly first.

If the a/c is leaving a spot on the ground it has to be oil, the refrigerant is a gas at ambient temps. If that's the case there will be oil all over whatever is leaking.
Unless you know someone there, avoid mass-merchandiser type garages.

Taking the day off to get a bunch of work done around the house. At 9:30 am the kids across the street send an envoy (obviously stoned) to complain about the hedge trimmer and ask me to not use any outdoor power equipment during daylight hours. Wow.
I feel like setting the alarm for 5:30 am to mow the lawn. It's still dark then.
