I'm going as a character from a movie the year before. My wife found a Vader costume at Goodwill (just the clothes -- I still have my original mask from 1980). Turns out the damned costume is too short for me. Why the hell would you make an adult vader costume for someone under six feet? Make a damned Vader costume and let the people who want to be Midget Vader make their own costume.
I await the Wookie/Vader jokes on the tips of your tongues...

I'd say about half of my races are already open or men's races anyways, and most of the big stage and road races have 3/4 fields. Four-only fields are actually pretty rare for women here.

I have decided on getting a Ritchey Breakaway for a travel bike, instead of repairing the Orbea or getting a new frame. A couple of reasons why, one, I am very likely to be assigned a project in the Northern Mariana Islands in the coming months and shipping a bike would take 2-3 weeks at $120 each way. I'd rather have a system where I can check the bike for free (I'm elite with airlines so I get free bags) and not worry about when it will show up. And secondly, typically I pay $40 -50 to ship my Trico case each way. The Ritchey will pay for itself in just a few trips. I've never owned a steel frame before....
Well-done.

"Ride it"
This wasn't the plan for next year - but given my (un)employment status, and the cost of this bike (free), it's size (mine), oh, and that I've wanted one of these for years now - yep. This is the race rig.
Now deciding - what fork to put on it?
