Yeah, those are the priciest ones. That's a lot of coin for some dumbbells, even if they replace a bunch of different sets.

Which year do you have? I hear the older ones had a tendency to break.

"My email ain't workin."
"Why can't I print nothin?"
"I can't see the backup drive."
"I can't move any files from the year 2007."

and my favorite today so far:
"When I move my file from one directory to the next it changes the file time up one hour. Can my directory not recognize daylight saving time er sumthin?"

The last two are from the same person who is highly paranoid and (to a degree) crazy. He came to me and told me his machine was crashing. I said, "Crashing?" He replied, "Well it won't move any files." I asked, "Any files?" He got peeved and said, "Well my files from 2007 forward."

Come to find out his mobile drive was corrupt and he only had so much space available on it before it wouldn't move any more files. Once he formatted it all was good. The date changing thing is total BS as well. I guarantee it.

So is my wife.

True story: My wife does 99% of the driving: she loves it and I like being chauffeured by a woman .

When Spawn1 was 2 years old we happened to be in a Toys R Us and they had one of those cars you could sit in and "drive" for $0.25. We put Spawn1 behind the wheel, put the 2-bits into the machine, and he immediately shouted "Move it, "***"hole!"

Driver's Ed does start in the car seat.

They're about 5 years old and not heavily used.

You remember the "amusement park" reference though, right? That was well placed. I can't remember who said it.

Latest estimate for our town is next Wednesday for 100% power restoration. That's 11 days for some people to go without heat, water & electricity !!

Succeeded. I had to play it twice. Thank you. It's seriously off-key, but at least it's decent.

Mrs. Shovel insists that I drive so that she can criticize my driving. True that.

The Missus just tenses a bit when I do spirited stuff. But I make wrong turns much more often than she does.

In CT you'll see a car or two do 85-90 regularly, but not average that speed.

Missus called. Power on at home.

Different part of town - CL&P said Thursday for one hard hit area (and there are lots of houses there).

Good news: I got my race reimbursement approved. Meh news: it's not cash, just credit towards this year's clothing order. Ah, what the hell, I'm easy. Will race for free lycra.

Mixed news at work today.

The senior scientist that I have been working with every day is leaving the company soon. His wife was offered a full time professorship at Duke university. He doesn't want to go, but it will be a great career opportunity for her.

We've been getting along pretty well. He used to be a competitive track cyclist/tter and still rides hard so we always have that to talk about.

He is leaving before my current contract is going to end. He told me behind closed doors that he is going to recommend to Steve (the CEO, also a cyclsit) that I get hired, which means benefits, salary and long-term employment for me.

Fingers crossed.
