Depending on the length of your "weekly TT" 25mph is pretty slow.
The TT's I do are for recreational cyclists only and many of them average 27 or more for courses around 20K.

I've got another TT later this month.
Am I completely wasting my time since I don't have a single piece of aero equipment? I can ride in the drops for 40k if I have to but slipperly through the air I am not.
I would like to get into a sub 1:10 this time out in the 40k.

Oh, also, some combination of the following: clothing choices, number pinning, pacing, weather, nutrition, dashing good looks, and other natural flavors.

I'll give it a try!
But you are right about the numbers. I felt like I had two small parachutes pinned on my back last Saturday. I need to use more pins or pin them different.

i'm always amazed how many guys show up to TTs with fancy helmets and expensive wheels and just four corner pin thier numbers on thier back and just let them flap away.

Pro tip: don't spray the glue just outside your car door, then walk throught the leftover glue in socks, then walk on gravel.
