I'm certain I'm going to get shelled at Walla Walla. I have a hard time hanging with the local 3 field in road races (that's what I get for spending so much time on the track) and American 3's are reportedly a lot stronger (than Canadian). I probably should've signed up for the 4. Oh well.

The other was during a moto GP endurance race. Saw a half dozen drops on my face shield and then the front end left. I ended up hitting a concrete wall at 90-ish, the tires they had protecting the wall bounced me back on the track. After the paramedics had removed my helmet they all disappeared for a bit. On returning they pointed out the burning motorcycle that had flown over me and was now in the warm embrace of a bunch of Goodyears. They had headed for the hills and left me there when they saw the guy and bike tumbling at them.
Talk about needing a dose of HTFU.

Canadians are badass crit racers. So good they were no longer allowed to ace in the US Pro Crit Championships. Couple years ago the first American was 4th if I remember correctly.

East Coast Canadian Masters are very tough. A lot of ex-pros. Z-Team and SpiderTech are notable. On the P/1/2 side, Garneau has been been strong since I raced in the 80's.

can't seem to find all the posts about srm/power tap/quark etc....
local email thread about stages: I had passed some stuff on to Ex. Guy got a new unit and initial tests seem to show some consistency and accuracy compared to power tap. Local coach on that thread is a big power tap guy. Seems to think that SRM has a tendency to be inconsistent. He's down on quark also.
Shop tried to sell me a Quark, but I don't have it in me to go there.
I'd buy a Stages to play with on my second bike, but they're not even available.

Updated the firmware on my Quarq to 18 last night. Very simple process, though I can't say I'm impressed that I had to buy $60 dongle to do it.

gotcha.
if I can't swing another SRM I'm probably going to just guess and make up numbers on that bike.
