Got an update from Beth's son. She definitely had a stroke and the MRI showed she had been having a number of mini-strokes. Saturday was several orders of magnitude worse. She's lucid and comfortable but frustrated that she can't talk. They will probably know within a day or two what is her prognosis for getting that back.
We will visit her this evening and take the kids. I think it will be good for her. And good for them too. My wife had the idea to bring her some roses from her own back yard.

I only notice a problem with junior gears at low grade high speed descending (you can't just sit in, but you're still easily over 40 mph), for example, one guy attacked in the middle of a race creating the winning break down a 4% hill, i followed and spent 5 minutes at 140 rpms trying to bring him back, no such luck and i was tired. I also notice a small issue at super duper high speed sprinting, where i cant fully recruit my jump ( i sprint well at 95-105 rpm, 150, not so much). Other than that it isn't a big deal. I ride a 53/15 just cuz i dont't own a 52 big ring. I'm not losing sprints because of that.

oh ****, didn't realize how bad it was until i went on NYT. goddamn...
skinny PSU kid is at only 26 points for some reason, so yeah, not a sand bagger. You'd actually feel bad for him as he doesn't get to shine in too many other races and this is the only type of race where he can upgrade.
Dartmouth has only 11 points, though he does have a ton of 8th & 9th place finishes. Suck for both of them to be racing in the ECCC

I'm sure people are a little tired of these Cat 5 "critique my mechanics" videos. I thought you guys might like to see a Cat 1 mechanics video instead and see how it's done:

You guys were clearly all asleep at the wheel, no comments on the jacking can take a long time and be patient line in botto's video? I'm nearly as disappointed in you guys as I was in my sprint this weekend.
