That was actually one of my early programming platforms, before the PET at school and the VIC-20 at home. My mom's boyfriend at the time ran IT at the university library, and they had one. He set me up in there when the babysitter wasn't available during working hours. This is maybe 1981.

my TT frameset has been stuck @ O'Hare for the last two days, and CanadaPost isn't providing an update... CanadaPost originally stated that it'd arrive on Tuesday, ugh...

Sounds like a great situation for you!
I am just starting out in road cycling and trying to figure out the whole team dynamic thing. There are lots of teams here in Phoenix and if i was smart, I would probably join one of the bigger, more competitive teams. Right now i ride for the local shop just to get discounts, but they are not really a race team #cyclingproblems

"Suction is the flow of an object into a partial vacuum, or region of low pressure"

"A hurricane is a rapidly-rotating storm system characterized by a low-pressure center"

I'm just saying there may be cause and effect here that needs more study.

I would hope. Acclimating was a process…but Garmin says Ive done about 250,000 ft of climbing this year (compared to a few hundred ft a year in Fl) so the pins might be a little stronger.

Fark, the day is just getting better. Would apparently need a root canal. Just Fantastic. I didn't account for this when i made my FSA elections, so there goes $150-200 if i get it done next year.

All other FSA allows you to roll over $500 year to year startig next year, and the stupid Federal FSA decided that in lieu of it, having 14 months to spend the money would be sufficient. WTF!?

Truth. I don't wish the pain of an exposed nerve on my worst enemy (if I had one).

Also, super bummed to hear that the Merco Classic series is canceled for 2014. The road race was one of my favorite events this year and I was looking forward to doing the full series.

They say that there won't be enough structure left for a crown, thus the root canal...

the particular tooth feels tender from time to time, but definitely not at the point of i need it done right now

Crashed a Harvard philosophy PhD party in one of their libraries last night and found this gem.

Yeah me too. I didn't do it last year but was hoping to this time around..

Ideally it's just a threat of cancelling, an attempt to get a savior sponsor. Then we can also rejoice when it comes back. Probably not.

I'd probably stick with them until race dynamics unfold to reveal who you'd rather be training and racing with. That was the tough thing about my last team -- I doubt I'd never leave them if I lived in San Antonio.

It holds a special place in my heart as the first time I've been able to actually think and use some tactics in a race, rather than a) just try to hang out in the frontish and b) hope I don't crash.

Covered attacks while my teammate was away and then, when he was caught (and recovered) I attacked super hard on the rough and rolling section of the course seeing that people were starting to get fatigued/weren't comfortable on the rough pavement. Teammate jumped on my wheel and I was able to hammer it for ~1.5km, splintering the field. I was completely gassed as we hit the 1km to go mark and dropped him off. He was able to shake the 2-3 people left on his wheel to take the win. I rolled in for 10th.

It was a good day. Sigh.

edit: I should also note, that this was the first time I could really hear CDR in my head saying "wind management". I repeated it over and over in an attempt to always be protected. It worked (un)remarkably well for recovering after attacks and such.
