Sweet! Look out for a Wolfpack Hustle jersey and say hi if you get there between 8ish and 10ish. Good luck!

Sweet! I'll probably have left by the time the P/1/2 field starts, haha. Jealous of the later start time. Good luck to you as well!

Welding it back up is really not that big of a deal. They have to have a box filled with Argon (easy). Don't let the welder tell you how crazy it is to weld Ti. It's not. It's actually some of the easiest stuff in the world to weld (much easier than AL). It's just a little clumbsy because of needing the box.

True enough.

Only thing is that i have to pay for one-way shipping.

Not to mention that i had been thinking of getting another bike, and i'm now more drawn to a Noah RS than a Lynskey R340.

Opps, wrong thread. Meant to put it in the 41 hand-wringing thread

Meh. Just discovered a small (2 mm) crack forming on the seat tube of my Soloist. Apparently, this is a well-documented issue and Cervelo has been good about warranties. I guess I'll be taking this in to the shop and see what they say.

I'm seriously thinking about buying that power device that is a strain gauge on the left arm only. I don't think it can be all that different, and it's pretty slick.

Read the CD Rainmaker review of the Stages first. It's pretty damning. He had a couple notables in the Power world assist with the science.

I waxed my chain back in the 80s. It's a hassle to wax once a week as it takes 20 minutes for the chain to heat up and the wax to flow in. But the chain stays a lot cleaner. I threw out all my chain waxing kit 10 years ago. I'm kinda wishing I'd kept it now.

Getting acclimated...

When i arrived 2 weeks ago i climbed Lookout Mtn and had to stop twice to let my HR come down. Today i rode up twice, back to back and felt good.
My HR was even lower on the second go, which is weird. Although it has always taken me a long time to 'warm up'.

either coggan or hunter bash the hell out of it on the training and racing with a powermeter facebook page. I would rather have a powertap than the stage.

Over the past eight years or so I've watched about ever series worth watching while on the rollers. While it's not uncommon for me to choose riding indoors (I can be available for work since i have a computer next to my rollers), it's in no small part having decent shows to watch that keep me motivated to ride indoors.

northern exposure
west wing
sopranos
six feet under
big love
the wire
justified
sons of anarchy
weeds
californication
weeds
shameless
big dogs
homeland
girls
enlightened
sex in the city
the riches
tudors
borgias
dexter
house of lies
nurse jackie

I can't even remember them all. But I put 100s of hours in each winter. There were a few where I hit 500 hours September to the start of the season. Most of them indoors.
