vo2 intervals today...coming downhill I hit a pothole and got a pinch flat. Was pretty pissed cause it was right int he middle of my intervals so after I fixed the flat(first flat in 4200 miles this year), I got back on and restarted the intervals.
Saw a buddy after I was done so we rode the rest of my ride together.

Some VO2 intervals for me as well. Went for the Strava style intervals tonight. 2hr and nabbed a number of KOMs and a couple close ones. Great ride!

Negative. Looking to be around two months.
Should be interesting to see how my body reacts and responds to jumping back into racing. I can stand and walk all day with 60lbs of body armor, radios and weapons on me, but my training rides have only been 40-50min in length for a while now. The saddles on the stationary bikes here are all massively wide, and incredibly uncomfortable. Can't wear bibs or anything with a chamois for working out, so I gut out what I can and call it a day.
I'm hoping the two kinds of fitness merge somewhere in the middle, but I'm guessing that's a bit of a pipe dream.

If you're going back to Ft. Drum in October, I'm not sure how much "jumping back into racing" you'll have an opportunity to do. OTOH, if you're PCSing or going to school somewhere in the South or West, you might.
Decompress on the bike, and see where you're at. It'll be interesting to see how that added strength translates into on-the-bike fitness.

Did some 30-30s today, for 18.5 minutes (guess that'd be 9.5 minutes on). I didn't use the interval button because I knew I'd be too tired to hit it every time, so I used the WKO power distribution to figure out how much time I spent at/above power@vo2max. Was about 6:30 on/above target, another 3' in the 50 watt range right below, so close, but not quite. Gotta go a little harder next time.

I'll also be taking 39 days of leave between the Thanksgiving and Christmas block leave periods. I will most definitely be somewhere warmer than Drum.
I don't know that I am physically stronger, but the pain barrier has been pushed a bit further down the road.

Weatherman: 0% precipitation. Reality: may as well have been raining with the amount of mist/fog/drizzle. Soaked before I even got to the meet-up point. Turned our group hammerfest into a group tempo ride with a few hard efforts up some hills and rollers. Despite my legs feeling less than great (got dropped on the beginning of the rollers but rallied and ended up with the same time as the group), I collected a fair amount of PRs, including one I've been trying at for a while (still :17 off my goal, though).
2:30, 40mi, 1,800ft.

ouch. got beat by a friend of mine yesterday on OLH so I went out and took his 47-minute KoM as retribution. Not as easy as I thought it was going to be, tbh.

Pretty sure my Quarq is out of calibration. It was a hard ride, but I'm pretty sure I didn't put out 5.8w/kg for 20 min.

The new Quarq Riken's are very reliable. Mine has almost zero issues and I ride with lots of people who have the older gen's.
Group ride yesterday for 2.5 hours. Pretty fast pace but wasn't mind blowing. A few 8 min all out efforts and a long'ish climb. TSS of 200

hour of easy z1 with the club. shaking out the demons in the new bike. friction shifters with old, worn cables = suck (shifting with a mind of its own!).

Slowly trying to claw my way back up Mount Fitness. Work has other ideas. Got almost 4hrs in during my work week and ended up settling for a run today. So much fail.

Quite pleased with my ride post wreck. I still hobble a bit walking but on the bike I seem ok. Only had a sharp pain once or twice from climbing. Probably won't ride most the week but got a good two hrs zone 2 in today!

Fitness is coming back quicker than expected. Took second on the final sprint of the group ride this morning. Smallish field due to people racing Dunnigan and yes, I know, it's very 41, but it's still a good fitness indicator for me.

Well tomorrow is going to be the suck if today is any indication. Went for easy ride with few short efforts. Everytime I went above 500(ish), legs were not happy at all. lol.
