I'm doing branchbrook on Sat. I'm from CO but am visiting the inlaws who live about 20 minutes from there. Let's see: plane arrives at 1am, race starts at 7am, sure, no problem.

romped at fiesta today. ridin good.
i hate it when youre in an advancing line and instead of rolling off after the last rider of a break or gap is passed like a gentleman, the ****er on the front squeezes right into the draft of said break or gap, causing everyone to decelerate and lose momentum. I hate losing momentum so much ill leave the draft and advance to the front if i can preserve my momentum and speed on rides like this.
if ur really dying that hard, you should've taken a more respectable pull by slowing down and flicking a rider through smoothly beforehand. jackasses

First Airport Ride of the season. Put up my best 60min power numbers in the last 12 months. Insane. It's like riding with someone else's legs. Someone who can ride a bike.

Anyway. This week should probably be filed under "training failure status," but oh well. Managed an hour today to try and get my legs opened up for tomorrow. I hope it works, they were feeling a little sluggish today.

I know exactly what you mean. This late winter/early spring for me has been a lot of "WTF, I can DO that now!?" moments, where "that" might be pulling in the wind without blowing up, or going up a climb faster than this guy, or still being at the pointy end of the ride with the strong guys two hours in, etc.
Anyway. This week should probably be filed under "training failure status," but oh well. Managed an hour today to try and get my legs opened up for tomorrow. I hope it works, they were feeling a little sluggish today.

Week started well then has slowly become a crap week of working late and being tired. Maybe I'm still not recovered from being sick.
Leave tomorrow morning for a week of riding in Cali - that should help.

1hr 45min with some hill repeats this morning. Legs feel a lot better (aka not dead) after a couple days off the bike; posted my best solo time up this particular hill. This loop doesn't have the compact feet per miles that I usually do, but the view is much better.

'Pre pre race' today - 1 hour easy with a 5x1 effort in the middle. I've been off for a few days and it's nice to be on and loosen up the legs, they hurt from weight training in the gym on Wednesday still a bit, mostly my calfs.
I ordered my racing license on the 11th only to be notified today that it hasn't been processed because my picture didn't upload (our licenses have pics of our faces now) and so now I have to find a way to get my license by midnight Thursday to register for my first race of the year on Friday. I'll probably end up paying double then what I should because of something that I have no control over.............I am so angry right now.

Beat the crap out of my legs for 40 minutes on my commute home yesterday. Fartleks in traffic can be phun.
Working right now. It's Belgian weather anyway, and while I don't mind riding in cold wet weather, I don't like starting in cold wet weather.

Doing absolutely jack squat today. Ahhhh, enjoying a Saturday to do nothing. Don't remember the last time doing that. Gonna spin for 30mins at some point whenever the torrential rain ends this afternoon.
