Gold star for climbo, who can now ask an equally impossible question.

[edit] Matt cut back his cyclo-cross for 2000 and still won the US national championship!! He was urged to ride road, but chose to concentrate on MTB. He sorta vanished for a while but has had a few results

This one should be fairly easy, unless it's been done in another area I can't think of.

It's a bloke, still alive, 3 World Championships in 3 consecutive years, who and what years, what discipline.

Bonus point for naming the team he raced for.

You have to wait until the previous question has been answered.
Now, just because y'all live in the wrong hemisphere, and in a different timeframe,

Sorry Bruco and Lotek, Judy had a big impact on young Aussie males in the early 80's, while Alby 'World Safari' Mangels (drove around the world with his mate in a crappy DAF car) was pantsman extrordinaire. On with the quiz....

Go to post #305 where Crackn got sick of waiting for you to wake up from your 3 week siesta. Climbo is up, his Q stands as far as I can tell but he's prolly in bed by now so riders must claim.

Whoops, missed that one in all the Aussiespeak. . .
apologies all around.
Thats the problem with this thread, I stay on most of the day here,
and when the question is finally answered I'm gone.

Yeah, the time differences really kill what could be a great little intercontinental battle. Just as we get warmed up the poms and eurostars are heading to bed and the yanks have a few more hours of kip before scratching their nuts and starting another day.

First up, Australian Mens Time Trial Team were world champions three years running (oi, oi, oi!), but I won't claim or dispute because climbo is after an individual

Climbo hasn't broken rule number 1, has he?

That will depend on the fickle nature of human kind. If you recall my last question was about cyclocross WC Matt Kelly, but it was 'related to road racing' because he was immediately urged follow in LA's footsteps and adopt a road career. Sadly he declined.

I must admit, Google is letting me down on this Q.

I did not!

I think we need to amend rule #1 as we have already had
questions about Track racing, I'd say cyclocross is pushing things,
don't even as about MTB racing (like I'd know about that).

There, clear as mud!

I agree -- a big "BOOOO" to cyclo-cross, recumbents, BMX, MTB, ice-skating, cricket....or anything else, and a track question should be stipulated as being such.

THERE!!

god, I'm such a geek

wait, Danny Clark 1984, 1985 1986 in Derny. (he's aussie so I guess
this is the one you're looking for?)
or his 1980, 81, 82 Keirin championships? (rode for Konecke?)

rules, rules, who needs 'em !! Clark didn't win in 82. Not the guy I'm thinking of but I have broken the golden rule and crossed over too many disciplines here, it's MTB. If Clark did that, then Lotek can have it. Is Derby a World Champs event?
