I did something like that once - Five races over four days: Two crits on Friday, two crits on Saturday, and one on Sunday. Things went OK on Friday and Saturday, but not so well on Sunday.

The race started fine, but a few minutes in, there was an acceleration, and I tried to go, but my legs just said No, and I sat down. It was kind of like in The Empire Strikes Back when Han Solo thinks the hyperdrive on the Millenium Falcon is fixed, and he pushes it, and you hear it ramp up, then shut down. It was just like that.

More snow so far today than in last week's "storm of the century" .... And today's not over.

Best of all, it's spectacular XC ski snow. Cold and fluffy. I got one of my 10 year olds out on skis yesterday and he wants to go again today, which is great, because conditions are 1000x better and he'll have a lot more fun.

If only the darn school wasn't closed I could blow off work and spend the whole day out there!

Indeed, the snow is falling in thick tufts 70's-esque curls.

In Boston anyway it's way wetter/icier than last time, it's much windier, much harder to see, and commuting is much more terrifying because there's no travel ban keeping the yahoos off the streets. Still mostly no cars though, probably they all ended up in ditches before they got to the city. Still, a much worse commute than last week's "blizzard." How the F is this not a blizzard? My visibility was far worse than last time. Also, the icy snow particles almost scraped my face off when the wind kicked up.

I would not have a problem with a Cat5 racing five races in four days. It's all about experience, and finishes don't matter much.

Especially when it was 10 starts, not 10 finishes to upgrade.

If the manager was a Seahawk fan, they would have called it last night right after the game.

People around here have been either bawling their eyes out or wanting to riot sense last night. Kinda glad I'm leaving for a short trip, downside is that trip is to detroit. Balls

I really don't care either way. I was watching the game with some friends who wanted to kill me after I said the pats were gonna win when we were placing our bets before the game most of which couldn't name 3 seahawks players previous to 2012.
