I keep hearing "milk and medals ?!?!? give me a f***ing break, milk and medals?!?!?!" I get it. But as for me, I can get an envelope of cash out of an ATM. Hardware is more valuable to me.... or will be once I start winning some. I would not be surprised if the Cat 5, 4 and maybe 3s keep showing up, but you lose the higher levels.

it's been pricey, but now there's no prize money. Most of his races are basically shunned as cash grabs and this would seem like the sort of thing that would simply exasperate that sense. Still, I've no horse in the fight. I don't reckon I'll ever do a race like like that. Dirt or paved…I'm just not interested in doing a lot of RRs. I like Dieter. I get on fine with him and wish him well. I just want to see prize money go away and prices come down, and he's in a different world than that.

We're in the wrong thread for this, but I like Dieter and I think he provides a good product. People who think he doesn't, have maybe never experienced a truly poorly-run race. I can suggest a certain omnium in N Jersey for anyone who wants to experience extreme disorganization.
And I've always loved the Battenkill course and the whole spectacle of it. His entry fees are too high though, hard to argue with that.

Have you done it before? That is the only race I've ever done that I won't do again. Nice people, they just have no idea how to run a race. It takes more than asking your wife and her sister to show up 10 minutes before the start to help out.

my teammates did it. It's part of our state series this year. It's also father's day weekend, and there's not much else going on.

you're actually about the only person I heard say anything bad about it. but nonetheless from an occupational standpoint I try not to expect too much of anything aside from eventual impending death.

I like having races in the windham/hunter area and have no problem with Dieter. I just think he does some strange stuff. I.e. the Greene Summer Classic at Windham Mountain... you can't race it as a male Cat 4 if you are less than 40 years old. W - P/1/2/3/4, M - 40+ (1-4), 50+ (1-4), Open Cat 3 and Open Cat 5.

5500ft in 42mi today. 3800ft in 31mi tomorrow. Will need a slow easy Thursday. This is going to be more elevation gain in 3 days than I usually do in 2 weeks! Love you California.

Occasionally I get bad sinus headaches, and pseudoephedrine works best to relieve the pressure. WADA has it as a banned stimulant above a specific level:
Assuming I take it according to the directions on the package (the 12 hour version with 120 mg), is it possible to know whether I'm street legal?
Pseudoephedrine: Prohibited when its concentration in urine is greater than 150 micrograms per milliliter.

Yeah I wish I had time for that. The road rules but I have to go back to the real world.
