Sure, why not! It's not always immediately available, although there is a great bottle shop down the street from work that often has it. The owners will usually save a few bottles in the back for people who request it, then sell it for $3-4 dollars more, so we're talking $18 bucks instead of $15.
If this is cool with you, let me know. I can PM you once I have obtained a bottle; I'll check after work.

Hey @hack.
My status is similarly "never (6/30)". If you get to 30, I'll send you a bottle of Hudson Valley bourbon. What will you send me if I make it?

Will you take a third? I'm in about the same place as you both. I'll ship either of you a Moose Drool if you get 30.
Sure, but only if your current expectation is "never"!
Oops, did I sucker punch myself?

That's another reason to race local. I could go to an LA or Orange County team that fields a lot of racers, but when they all ride together during the week good luck having them work for you regardless of your power and race skill.

I think you're in the clear. I'm actually going to race quite a bit less this year than last and do some more lengthy training during the weekend. My fitness is pretty poor and if I were to bump up to a 2, I'd be dropped or relegated to pack fodder. I can hang around in flat road races and crits, but those do get old.

I'm curious as well since the result of team work in the 3's and 4's can be really dynamic. Typically you're going to work for the strongest guy, and if you do well, he could bail and upgrade in a few races, or stick around the rest of the year and help others. More than likely its going to be every man for themselves with no real plan. Initially I'll have no issue working for another rider, since my numbers will be low.

given that the backside of the course already resembled the sandpit in a cross race I'm skeptical this can come off. debating if it does get canceled trying to find something else to do, or just crushing the training and heading north with the mrs and pups.

I think I've already done 12 this year. I did the same thing last year (raced every weekend) and was hating life around June. Hoping to ward off some of the burnout by skipping some of the lesser interesting races.

The main issue that I have with racing is time investment. I would like to earn upgrade points this year, so I'm driving to LA for my 60min crits, but this wasn't the case in the past couple years.
It would be so awesome if there was a regular crit series here in San Diego.

I have a feeling half the NorCal peleton will be burnt out by Independence Day. Happens every time we have a dry winter.

i was so burned out after last year that i thought about selling my bikes for a brief minute. i also strongly considered not racing anymore. I settled on not being on a team (for now) and racing less (but not riding less or necessarily training less).

Talked for a while with the guy that crashed Sunday. Sounds totally normal, he's psyched to get back to racing, wife is super supportive... things are good.

So are we racing on Sunday? I can't remember Bethel ever being cancelled.

(maybe a tad over the top but we do have 2 stage races, the first round of weekday hammerfests and a slew of other races)

are they really going to fix the roof on that place, and will it really start back up?
