It's not great, no. Too bad, it seemed like the interview went great. I was told to expect to hear from the HR person that afternoon about the position details. I think part of the issue is that they aren't super-responsive to emails, and they were quiet for a good two weeks after my phone interview. The on-site was a surprise. So they could just have been bringing people in slowly and I was near the beginning. But yeah, it isn't making me optimistic.

Try a phone call, let them know you are still interested.

Yeah, if I don't hear today that might be a thing to do on Tuesday.
Just remembered that I do have a personal contact at the company who I can check in with informally. So I'm doing that.

I don't know anything about the company, but in my experience (with big tech companies anyway) is that they'll contact you if they want you - no amount of following up will get you the job.
If you don't get the job, at least count it as experience points?

It could be that your interview was just a formality, in the sense that they already had an internal candidate but needed to talk to someone external to cover legal bases.

No internal candidate, it's a small company trying to expand. They're hiring like five different positions, supposedly. So, it would at least be strange if they were doing internal hiring. If it doesn't work out, my current job situation is secure and reasonably good, just kind of boring and not paid great. So not a big deal, but it was an interesting opportunity and rejection sucks even if you don't have a lot riding on it. As you say, the experience of going through the process has been valuable, if nothing else comes of it. Which is what I suspect is going to happen.

we're doing the used book thing and culling down my library.
5 cycling books I'm mailing to someone for free.
Team 7-eleven
Sky's the Limit
The Secret Race
The Doper Next door
The Belgian hammer
They're all in great condition, and hardback (Belgian Hammer is PB)
If anyone wants them shoot me a PM.
Anyone else find William Fotheringham dull? I have a bunch of his books I bought but not read.

This worked perfectly for me. She wanted non-diamond anyway, so the sapphire I chose got to be much larger and nicer, and still kept us well within budget for the wedding.

I asked my girlfriend what she wanted ahead of time. She told me. I married someone else.

A guy started riding with us a few months back, strong as an ox but no pack skills, so people have been teaching him things.
Saturday he crashed on a descent when he hit a pothole, luckily he didn't take anyone else down. He wasnt badly hurt but had to call for a ride.
I wondered how much his lack of experience contributed to the fall. I don't know if he had both hands in the drops or what he was doing.
I feel bad, almost a little guilty, like there could have been something we should have told him. Probably not, though.

I hate changing pf30 bb's.... back to DA 9000 cranks.
Need to send an email to THM and see if they can give me a deal on a new arm...wondering if it's worth going graphite again?

I am through with this. The royal screw up that is GMSR Cat 2 this year is infuriating. Done, the end. I normally give USAC officials alot of respect and understanding with how hard their job is. But this was just royally screwed up. It might be my anger and frustration talking but I am re-thinking my choice to pursue this sport.
