Barguil, how many idiotic things can one man do in one Tour? Reminds me of some of the Juniors that are all over the place in my Cat 4 races!

Huh? He made a pretty dumb move in that corner, but I'm not sure what else you're talking about. He's reputed to be a pretty good bike handler, generally, at least among his colleagues. **** happens sometimes.

was it really him? i had read somewhere that W. Bonnet (the guy who had the cervical fracture) had put his front wheel into Degenkolb's rear wheel in an overlap. Not married to that idea though because i'm not sure where i read it. I just dont recall Barguil being mentioned in those earlier incidents.

Not what I had heard. But it hardly matters. It's the Tour de France. It's bike racing. Big crashes happen and pinning them on a single rider seldom makes much sense. There's a whole mix of factors leading up to the point that someone makes mistake. I don't Bonnet or Barguil deserve to be labeled as bad riders because of any of this.

The BF Forensics crew can piece together whether correlation equals causation, but that's a lot of smoke.

Barguil rode past the FDJ guy and clipped his front wheel causing the mass pileup on the stage that took Spartacus out. He was also bouncing off Tony Martin during his collarbone breaking fall. He obviously plowed Thomas off the road.

Dude has been at the epicenter of the major crashes in this TdF, plus falls of his own. Bob Roll pointed out the FC crash was caused by Barguil making a rooking mistake. Quintana called him irritating with the risks he's taking while not being in play for the gc. TVG and Thomas said he was responsible for yesterdays theatrics. Barguil should thank Froome that everyone is caught up in the doping talk and not paying attention to the havoc he's wreaking.
Honestly, I'd bet he's just on the rivet all the time, is younger and also much less experienced than the people he's riding around, is in a little over his head and the combination has made him ride panicky.

Plus they have less stupid things to do like speculating about motors in the seat post, editorials about possible doping, commentary of how its wrong for fans who read aforementioned editorials to toss urine on riders, pressuing riders to release power data, in which will provide further editorials about doping....

i love how Jens Voigt says peloton. in fact, i've basically adopted his accent and speech patterns to create a character named Gunther Rohan Schpiegalberger, the director of camp sunnyday, who is the current star of the stories I tell my kids while taking them to/from their own camp each day. Since they're 4 and 8 with as much interest in the TdF as they have in bikeforums, they havent caught on, have yet to accuse me of any copyright violations and love the stories!

eurosport says illness
sidenote - they had a side piece of Greg Lemond doing the descent of today's stage (he almost over cooked a corner). he commented that it was a long descent and it took him a long time to get down it. Sean Kelly then commented that he was surprised it took him a long time given how much he weighs right now. lulz
also...yikes that descent
