Here's my rig - Trek 7300 - I've added SPD clips, Beavertail fenders and a rack, along with front and rear flashing LED lights, and a LED headlight. I've got an Incredibell (for alerting pedestrians), and bar ends. There's a mounting bracket for my Garmin eTrex on the bars.
I'm debating swapping out the front fork for a rigid fork, and I also need to rotate the stem to lower my riding position. When I got the bike, I was recovering from a motorcycle accident, and needed to ride upright. 2 1/2 years later, I can ride a road bike normally, and between the posture and front fork, I'm not as efficient as I could be. Still, I average between 15 and 16 MPH over 30-50 miles (up from 13 or so when I started in March), and did 17.1 average coming home from work on my 21.5 mile (each way) commute.
