Did I do a bad thing.

Recently I was helping the mom in law clean out her garage - she wanted to get rid of all of her (deceased) husbands stuff prior to her moving.

Well, he had bought new a Peugot sometime in the 80's. I didn't really even look at the bike and just gave it to a friend. The bike was in perfect condition, but I don't recall anything about it, other then it was white. She said he had paid alot of money for it back then, but didn't say much more.

I don't know why, but I didn't bother checking out the components or anything, probably becuase I was working at 100 miles an hour.

Anyway, it looks like these are fairly collectable or sought after. Is that true?
