However, I am confused as to why you took the halflink out to "get a tighter chain." What does a shorter chain have to do with tightness other than when it's hitting the back of the dropout?
The halflink had the axle up against the dropouts for the setup I like, and the chain had a little too much play, not enough to have the chain fall, but enough to bother me on trackstands and backpeddling.
